Welcome to HydCineRentals. By accessing or using our platform — including the website, mobile app, partner portal, or any related service — you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. What HydCineRentals Is

HydCineRentals is a digital marketplace and directory platform connecting filmmakers with camera equipment rental shops and filming locations (rental houses) in Hyderabad. Our platform allows users to:

• Browse and search camera equipment and rental houses
• Save items to a Shoot List (cart) for planning
• Send real-time inquiry messages to rental houses via our in-app messaging system
• Create a personal account to manage inquiries, preferences, and saved items
• Access the platform via web browser or the HydCineRentals mobile app

2. Non-Liability for Transactions

Important: HydCineRentals is NOT a rental company. We do not own, hold, or directly rent out any of the equipment or locations listed on our platform.

• We do not process payments for any rental transaction.
• We are not a party to any rental agreement between a filmmaker and a rental house.
• We are not responsible for equipment condition, availability disputes, damages, pricing discrepancies, or financial loss arising from your engagement with a listed partner.
• All rental contracts are solely between you and the respective rental house or location owner.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using your email address and a password (authenticated via Supabase). By creating an account you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Keep your password confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@hydcinerentals.com.
• Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the messaging system.

4. In-App Messaging

HydCineRentals provides a real-time messaging system allowing filmmakers to send inquiries directly to rental house partners. By using this feature:

• You agree not to send spam, offensive, or misleading messages.
• You acknowledge that messages are stored on our servers and may be reviewed to resolve disputes or ensure platform safety.
• Rental houses are independently responsible for responding to inquiries. HydCineRentals does not guarantee response times.
• We reserve the right to moderate, restrict, or terminate messaging access for misuse.

5. Shoot List (Cart)

The Shoot List feature allows you to save and organise equipment items for a planned production. Adding items to your Shoot List does not constitute a reservation, booking, or rental commitment. Availability must always be confirmed directly with the rental house.

6. Sponsored Listings

Some equipment items and rental houses may appear as "Sponsored" placements. These are paid listings where a rental house has purchased elevated visibility on our platform. Sponsored status does not constitute an endorsement by HydCineRentals of the quality, reliability, or pricing of that business.

7. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to keep all listings accurate and up-to-date, pricing, availability, specifications, and photos are determined and provided by the independent rental houses and partners. Prices shown on our platform are indicative estimates. Always confirm the final price, availability, and terms directly with the rental house before proceeding.

8. Partner Portal & Partner App

Rental houses and location owners accessing our platform through the Partner Portal or Partner Mobile App agree to:

• Provide accurate business information, equipment specifications, and pricing.
• Respond to filmmaker inquiries in a reasonable timeframe.
• Not engage in fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or anti-competitive practices.
• Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations governing equipment rental.

We reserve the right to modify, delist, suspend, or permanently ban any partner account that violates these obligations or consistently fails to meet acceptable standards of service.

9. Mobile Application

The HydCineRentals mobile app (available for Android) is subject to these Terms in addition to the applicable app store terms. The app may request permissions including push notifications and device location (for showing nearby equipment). These permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

10. Location Services

You may optionally enable location access on the website or mobile app to find equipment and rental houses near you. Your location is used solely in-session to sort results by proximity and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.

11. User Conduct

You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose — discovering, comparing, and contacting rental houses for legitimate filming projects. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Automated scraping or harvesting of any listing data without explicit written consent.
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or restrictions.
• Posting false reviews, ratings, or misleading information.
• Attempting to access administrative or partner systems without authorisation.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on HydCineRentals — including the platform design, branding, copy, and code — is the property of HydCineRentals and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission. Equipment photos uploaded by rental houses remain the property of those respective businesses.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the platform, legal requirements, or business practices. Significant changes will be communicated via the platform or by email. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
